Help: AC Compressor Locked Up, Window Regulator Cable Broken

It was raining so I had the AC on which was blowing very cold. Then it just stopped blowing cold air and there was smoke pouring out from under the hood. Here the damn AC compressor decided to lock the hell up and the belt was spinning over the frozen compressor and smoking while doing it.

Later in the evening, I had my windows down and it started to rain again, but when I put up my driver's side window, I heard the infamous snap and now it doesn't do crap.

Will I have to remove the power steering equipment to replace the AC compressor on this car? The window I can probably fix easily....:shocking:

Oh yeah, does anyone know anywhere that if I need to, pick up a nice remaned compressor for cheap?

If you are saying that your window regulator cable broke and you can fix it easily......good luck.
The A/C is a lot of labor, but not hard. Get an oring kit, new compressor, new expansion valve, and a new drier.

Wow, I don't remember putting that as a subject, but anyways...I fixed the window regulator, ended up not being the cable, but the plastic thingy at the top of the slide do dad.

I put in a couple of self tapping screws in place of where the plastic guide broke and it works like a charm. the only other thing was in the motor itself, looks as if the cable got all tangled up and broke some of the wire guides in the motor. I will eventually have to replace everything, but it works for now.
