Help!!!! 88 na dies right after it starts
 
i have an 88 na, and as soon as i start it, it will die if i rev it, it will stay on for a few seconds longer
it start right after i installed the new exhaust including headers
i took off the acv, 5th and 6th port actuators, pressure sensor hose, and the mass air flow sensor, have recconected all of them
anyone got any advice or know how to fix it?

Sounds like the MAF sensor... I had similar situation when I was changing to an open intake kit.

Check your connectors, make sure they are all connected and try starting it again.

Give Greg at Staff's Auto a call if it's still not starting, he will be able to help you out.

Jumper the fuel check connector.

ya i thought it my be the MAF, i unscrewed it and they all look connected, and male and female connector on it are connected as well. could it maybe connected upside down??:ponder:

What did you unscrew precisely? The plug just pulls off. You're not supposed to unscrew anything.

where you disconnect the MAF there are 2 screws, i unscrewed those, then realized that you can just unplug it.

I have seen them damaged exactly by doing that before.

thanks for your help everyone, i got a new MAF sensor and it runs fine now
