Held at rpm parked, Smoke? wtfff!
 

Ok, yesterday i was showing my friend my FC 86 gx, its parked right now because it doesnt have a permit on it, so i start it every other day just to keep the battery charged. So anyways yesterday, i wanted to show him the sound of my exhaust so i revved the engine to about 6k rpm and held it for a few secs, then all this smoke started coming out, it was still idoling fine but it was pouring out smoke. So i was like Sh!t and shut it off. So this morning i went to start it again same thing, started fine ran fine idoled fine but smoke was coming out the exhaust. So i shut it off checked the oil and it registered full on the dipstick right after i started it. So 10 mins later i check it again and it doesnt even register any oil on the dipstick. So.. does it need oil or what? i looked under it no leaks at all so where the hell did all the oil go.. btw this all happened when the car was cold.

If you checked the dipstick while it was running, it will slow low.

When the motor is running, there is nearly a quart of oil held up in the rotors & oil filter.
When you shut it off, most of it then can drain back down to the pan.

In a high mileage motor, oil will start to seep by the rubber O-rings that seal the steel oil control rings.
These motors were designed to burn a little oil, and when it starts to get too bad, you just rebiuld it.

what could this be then? right now no oil registers at all on the dipstick. It never did this before, never smoked or anything. I had someone checkin out the car yesterday from www.bcrx7.com and we were revvin it, checkin everything over and it was fine. But now?

For starters, how long has it been since you changed the oil?
Used oil will deteriorate just sitting in an engine over a long period.

it hasent been sittin long.. maybe a week, we were driving around in it last weekend. I just bought it a week ago. Everything ran fine, it says the oil was changed in september, and the recommended time to change it isnt for another 1k or so km's. I mean it didnt do this untill i revved it and held it that one time..

on the sticker, it says i have 3000km left before i need my new oil change. Heres the dipstick

its cold and just sitting there, no oil shows. so now what do i do? i mean its the first its ever smoked

Does the smoke smell like burning clutch?

no, i started it in N so i dont think it hasta do with the clutch, i wasnt driving the car when this happened. It was parked, wasent smokin while runnin then i hopped in revved it held and it started smokin so i shut it off

should i put some oil init?

Yes you should put oil in it! The Dipstick says, "no oil" and that means it needs some. LoL.

Loss of oil is very VERY bad for rotary engines (well any engine really), so you'll need to fix it pronto! Put more oil in, and if it goes away too with lots of dark smoke then you've got a blown oil seal and will need a rebuild.

Coolant seals are leaking. Is the Smoke nice and White? and smells oily??

I finally put a familiar smell to when the your coolant seals are leaking. It smells like a Steam engine

Also.......yes put oil in it.

problem solved. Put in 2 bottles of oil, brought it just above low. Now it registers oil. Fired it up, alittle blue smoke at first, then went white then clear. So thanks for the help everyone
