Heater logicon question

Out of curiosity does the s5 heater logicon work in an s4? They have the same connectors but are they actually compatible??

Icemark 06-12-06 07:16 PM

yes, they are the same.

There technically are 6 types of Logicons for the FC, and they are all interchangable.

shit so it isn't the 89 logicon I installed it might be something else.. I swear I am going to part out this damn TII.

Icemark 06-12-06 07:30 PM

could be a bad logicon... what is it doing or not doing?

rotorforce 06-12-06 07:40 PM

Just doesn't work period.. I did not install it, but the last guy did and it has markings on it that say "1989 rx7" which is a clear indication that it was from the bone yard. Now I have been working on sevens for over ten years, and I have changed out logicons before, but for some reason I cannot unplug this one! The clip is so far back i cannot get my hands back there nor can I pull it foward.:(

Try pulling the gauges... that is how I get to it

Lol, I am one of the lucky seven owners whose Logicon works flawlessly. Unfortunately, when switching to some S5 pieces today, I discovered that the mounting brackets on the left side were broken. So I need a new Logicon, but I already know the one I get will be messed up.

Wish you luck man!

Actually you can just replace the trim panel instead of the whole Logicon. PM me I have a whole bunch.
