Heater Core Delete

I removed the Heater core from my FC Racecar. Should I connect the two hoses that went to the Heater core or can I just block both of them? I don't really understand how Coolant flows through this thing.

Thanks

You need to connect the two hoses to each other to allow the coolant to flow through the system properly.

I do not believe that's true, sorry.
If flow through the core was necessary for proper engine flow, Mazda couldn't have put a shut off valve on the core to control heat temp.

By all means, connect the two hoses together but I'm pretty sure you could plug them totally and be OK.

Thanks guys! I'll start with hooking them together and see how it goes. Hopefully driving it in racecar mode for the first time this week!!!

If you were to cap then off, what were you going to use? I couldn't find any nice and clean that would also be reliable

I'd extract the bungs, tap the holes and screw in plugs.

Well, that's what I say I'd do.
Probably just loop a hose in real life.
