Headlight stuck up after minor crash battery dies

I was in a fendor bendor and my right light is stuck up and I think it drains my battery. I charged it up last night drove it around and the cars is dead again. IF my light is stuck up and I turn my lights off is the stuck light tring to go down causing the drain? If so what do I need to do to keepit from being drained when Im not driving it?

Any time the headlights aren't fully up or fully down, the motors have power. Yours must be stuck just a bit lower than fully up.

Pull out the 30A RETRACTOR fuse in the engine bay to kill their power until you get it fixed.

also remove the battery and try and remove the plastic peices around the head light and see if you can see the actuating rod under it, for the headlight, mine was bent a lil and that kept it stuck in the upright positioin

make sure battery is out!! or if u bend the rod back the lights gonna try and smash your hand haha....

This is an easy fix it just happened to me, use your flip button to turn your lights to the up position, the button above the light switch. This will allow you to use your lights and not drain the battery. I have been using this method for 3 days and it works fine.

That's only if the light is completely up and the motor thinks it is all the way up as well. If the motor thinks it isn't completely up or down, it's going to constantly try to move it, and if the light is stuck it'll just drain the battery (and heat the motor up and eventually ruin it). Do as NZ said, then fix the assembly and plug it back in.

I should have written a thread like this last Thursday. The EXACT same thing happened to me on the passenger's side. Try turning the manual pop up knob under the car until the light is either all the way up or all the way down. Before taking it anywhere get fixed, try tokompressorlogic's advice and take off the plastic pieces and reassemble them. That worked for me even though the headlight is just a little bit off, but not enough to where anyone could notice it without a ruler.
