Headlight issues... yay.

Hey guys. I am absolutely new to not only Rotary, but flip lights. lol.

Basically, it's like this. The headlight motors are fine. The fuses are fine. But for some reason the headlights just will NOT flip up and down when I turn the knob (switch) to retract them. I am very confused. Any ideas? Wiring perhaps?

Do the lights turn on when you turn them on? and just not pop up? If the lights turn on, then it sounds like either the motor or wireing to the motor.

Did you check the main engine bay fuses? Make sure the retracter fuse is there, and not blown.

Are you saying your head light motors locked up? You can't move the knobs on the bottom at all? Thats what happened to mine.....I'm replacing the motors and hope i fix the problem.

could be the switch. Are you getting ground on the headlight wires at the switch when the switch is on???

I am not 100% about the power to the switch or anything, basically cause I have no idea what I am looking for...

The motors definately work and the fuse labelled "head" is not blown. I am not too sure about whether there are other fuses that control the headlights retracting. But my only guess is that it could be a relay or the switch, but even so, I wouldn't know where to start. :S

Are there more fuses than just the "head" fuse under the hood that control the lights/headlight motors?

Yes, The fuse your looking for is labled as "retracter" If i remember correctly its the last fuse in the pack. closest to the fender. Id run out to my car, but its cold and pooring rain outside :ugh2:
