headlight conversion

I wanted to know if anyone sells a flat headlight conversion kit like the one for the 3rd gen. but for a 2nd gen., you know not the stock pop-up headlights, if anyone knows it would be a great help. thank you

The only one I'v seen is part of a complete bumper package.

East Bear makes a kit. The lights that come in it arent the best lighting (infact suck), and there not DOT legal but they bolt right in were the stock pop ups are. As far as replacing the front bumper cover with low profile lights, RE Amemiya has the fc2000 and an older kit, R-Magic has one, RUN Racing has one, theres a few others im sure, but finding them in the states is hard, and if you get it from Japan it'll most likey exceed the worth of your car. All of them have poor lighting and cheap fog light style lights with the exception of the rotary extreme kit. They use NICE Hella lights that work great and are DOT legal.

Yeah really cool but it's the knock off and will still cost you over $1k!

I think Border made/makes? a front cover with fixed headlights.

We can't have a conversion light like the FD because our heallights are angled incorrectly for that unless you have it raised above the stock level.

Most just remove the FTP area and use that as a fixed point.

coming soon

Almost nothing beats the light pattern with the stock headlights.
Beware that you might be taking a drop in safety if you do choose a non-pop up alternative.

we have been developing a flush light kit for sometime for the FC, near completion. Will be available before the season begins...lighting will be an improvement over stock. I think you will all be very pleased.

That's what I did and mine work great and they are DOT legal since I used 2001 Audi A4 headlight modules, plus my total cost was around $400 including the front bumper that cost me about $350 or so.

any idea on the price, Chris?

edit:
Jon, you got those headlights for next to nothing. you'd spend $2k for them if you bought them new :)

you have all been a great help, thank you

Light kit pricing..

as always we are going to try and keep the kit as cheap as possible while keeping the quality high. With the numbers I currently have we are shooting for somewhere between 600-650 shipped and taxes included. As the release date comes closer and I have more concrete numbers i will certainly keep you guys up to date.

True by going to a local bodyshop and getting them from the trash, most lights that are replaced onlyu have damage to the mounting tabs and front glass, the parts we won't need anyway. Other good sources are junkyards, many cool headlights sit in the yards for the taking, they don't have to be "new" is what I am saying.
