Headlamp beam level, how high?

Hey all, sorry to be posting yet another noob ? but I don't have my Haynes handy and the FSM didn't help me much. What is the procedure to set the headlight beam height so that you don't blind people around you and you can see. I know it involves going up to a wall at a certain distance and putting them at a certain height but I can't remember what the distance or height is. :(

Help is appreciated!

Not sure exactly, but if you want a rough estimate get someone elses car and park next to it facing a wall and match theirs.

Vertically, the high-beams output should be horizontal (i.e. parallel with the ground), so their light pattern on a wall should be centered at the same height above the ground as the headlights themselves.

Horizontally, the headlight's should be parallel with the centerline of the car (i.e not pointing inwards or outwards), so their light pattern on a wall should match the distance between the headlights.

set the low beams, then the high beam will already be adjusted properlly.

They aren't stock lamps anymore, remember my flush mounted lamps...they're in now. :)

Shouldn't that be the other way around? Setting the high-beams level is far easier than setting the low-beams at the correct dipped angle.
