header question

I want to get a exhaust header but im kind of on a budget. I saw a pace setter for $150, and wanted to know what you guys think of these.

The general concensus about pacesetters is that they are very cheaply made, and that they sound like crap and will fall apart quickly. I have had no 1st hand experience, but that what most people will say. I personally have the RB header, and its qualitly is top-notch, and price is right around what you are looking at.

I think everyone believes they suck. I don't have any personal experience with them, but I do know they are made from 1/16 inch pipe and Racing Beat(most recognizable good header) is made with 1/8 inch thick pipe. If sound has an easier time getting through thinner pipe, it's obviously going to be louder with the pacesetter then. I just waited a little longer and got the Racing Beat one(now in delivery stage :D ) with the presilencer. I have no idea about the difference in performance though.

Many, many misconceptions about the pacesetter header. Its inexpensive, and build quality is so-so. The welds on the inside are good, no problems there, but the 02 sensor senses from only one of the pipes, where the RB one senses after they are collected. Pacesetters are also NOT equal length, so they a little less power there. They might sound different, but they are the only ones Ive heard.

Mine hasnt fallen apart or have holes burned through it since I got it last march. Ive had mine streetported for almost 6 months now too, and it still looks the same as it did a couple of monthes ago.

BTW- If I would have been at this crossroad again, I would have gone with the Racing Beat header/presilencer. Better build quality, and its only alittle bit more.
