I have a 1988 rx-7 13B Injection non turbo if i change the header and exhaust will i need to rejet the carb

ummm...read what you said...you said it's an '88 w/FI...therefor, NO CARB to re-jet :/

Yes, you will need to rejet the carb... if you can find it. You will also need to install an O-pipe to increase the backpressure on the carb.

Also, I hope you repacked the muffler bearings or that header is going to blow out your exhaust.

what kind of grease do you use to re-pack muffler bearings?

I use high temp aluminia alloy grease. It's made by NASA and seems to be the only stuff that stands up to rotary exhaust heat.

I only use race-grade El Boe grease. The best rotary engine mechanic in the world, Manuel LaBorre, says he uses it for everything from removing the flywheel nut to polishing parts.

I try to avoid the more popular Lacedaemon grease. Sure, some people prefer this classic grease, but I find it too spartan for use in a refined machine like the RX-7.

What needs to be done is that he simply needs boost! try two or three bars and you should be set.
