Hi all, I Finally got my car!!! This is something I've been working towards for the better part of my life and I can't belive I finally have it!! I look foward to listening/talking to and maybe meet some of you in the future at club meets. Well, basically I'm the second owner of a Perfectly stock car that was in Immaculate condition. Wow! Is all I can say. (a quick plug-Praise God!) Nuff preach'n. Anyhow, the original (Mr. Stover) owner from what I can gather had all records and maintained at the dealership from 88! Unbelivable. The ONLY problem I have is trying to find the woofers that need to be replaced in the doors! That's it! The speakers in the headrest and dash work but no doors:(

Well, gotta go and read everything I can on this forum just wanted to say hi.

He mentioned headrest speakers. So, that leads me to believe it is a convertible. :)

Yo,

Our newest Rotorhead Recruit (aka Yeeeaaaaah!!) came over to my crib to enjoy some RX-7 comaraderie. I flowed him the newest Racing Beat catalog and showed off my GTUs. I can say honestly:

His car is badass. Imagine a cherry 1988 Convertible in black, with the factory paint just sparkling. And his friggin' FTP lights look better than mine dammit! Interior is cherry, car is awesome. He took me for a ride in it and I have to say I /totally/ want a 'vert now. *grin* The best thing is he's totally stoked on the car, and it shows. It's a beautiful thing to see.

Oh, and I of course took him out in my car. I showed him how the Redline buzzer worked. Like every shift. *grin*

We parked our cars side by side and we both were like, "We need a camera!" Hopefully we can get some kind of local Sac club going, it's fun to be with fellow rotorheads and their rigs.

All I can say is - dang - I wan't a convertible for a dialy now :)

RarestRX - where can you get those Racing beat catalogs?

Yeeeeahhhhh!!!!-),

Congrats on finding an emacullent one. Get some pics up when you can. Welcome to the club and the obsession. As you get more involved you'll find there are ALLOT of aftermarket bodykits, performance accessories, and normal accessories.

There's still allot available for these cars - so take your time, look around, and find out what you like.

I think the door speakers have a factory amp that may need replacing. Call crutchfield (1800-955-6000) or check www.crutchfield.com These guys should have all details on speaker sizes, wiring harness adapters, double din radio adapters, power antennas, and (best thing) do it yourself install manualls.

Yo Vaughn,

All ya had to do was drive out to California for Sevenstock 4!! Racing Beat was just /giving/ catalogs away! Woo hoo! *grin* To get one, you'll have to pony up some cash but it's a quality publication. It has a lot of info on all aspects of the rotary, suspension, clutch, etc. Very well done printed on nice glossy heavy stock paper.
