Have some questions as I rebuild: Front and rear rotors, fuel rails, etc
 

So I did search for this stuff, but I couldn't find exactly what I was looking for, so here goes.

I'm in the process of rebuilding my 88TII, and I'll be using 88 NA rotors. In the video it tells you to track the position of the rotors (front and rear), as well as the corner and side seals etc.

So, is there a difference in front and rear rotors? I don't know which position the NA rotors where in when they were removed.
Does it really matter if I track the corner and side seals, as long as the correct clearances are maintained when they're re-installed? I did track everything, but one of the side seals on the NA rotor busted, so could I use one off the TII rotor as long as the clearances were correct?

And last, I think my FPR is bad, when I pulled it off the car there was fuel in the vac line feeding it. I have an NA fuel rail that has a new FPR on it, will this bolt in and work correctly?

the rotors are interchangeable. as for the seals, better wait for kevin to answer that one.

The FPR's are the same. No difference. I've put a source of PRESSURE on a 1987 non turbo FPR and watched the fuel pressure go up to close to 50psi in the rail. Apes a turbo FPR. I'm talking the series four screw it in the fuel rail FPR.

The rotors are identicle front to back, but they wear in different ways. If you switch them, you will begin to wear the opposite side of the apex seal groove, thus widening the groove faster then you normally would have. But as long as everything is in spec, it's not a huge deal.

Ideally, you want to track their positions. Each side seal will be a slightly different length as they were all clearanced seperately. However, if they are within spec when installed in their grooves, it's not a huge problem.

The TII side seal is exactly the same, and as long as it is within spec you can use it. However, as always, it is best to replace with new.

Seriously, side seals are not that expensive, so there's certainly no harm in replacing them all (assuming you properly clearance them, of course).
