Have lots of problem need help

Hello i'm new to this, well i have a 91 mazda rx-7 n/a and i have some problem with it.

1st: The clock doesn't show no more, cd player doesnt work, the interior light doesnt work this all happen when i was lisnting to music then it cut off on me, but the console light show up fine

2nd: How do i replace the headlight bulb, i try to replace it but seem like i cant get that glass part open and i see where the bulb goes in but it like glue or something onto the metal piece behind of the glass.

Generally, you take the bulb out from the back of the headlight unit. The interior lights might be a fuse. I don't remember the exact one, maybe the room fuse. Someone else should chime in if thats not it.

which fuse are you talking about inside the car in the engine part, for the headlight the bulb seem to be glue in behind metal part which is behind the glass should i like pull the bulb out or do i do something before that.

Thank You

#1 Blown room fuse found in the drivers kick panel fuse box
#2 Stock headlights are H6054 sealed beams. You replace the whole housing and bulb together.

ok fix the fuse problem. So i just can't replace the bulb itself, and need to replace the whole thing?

The light generating part of the bulb is moulded as one piece with the Lens assembly on H6054 bulbs.

I do have DOT lenses seperate of the light generating bulb available on my webstore, but then you would need to get either a true HID bulb or a Sheilded H4 type bulb.

oh ok so a h4 bulb will work for the dot lenses. do you know where to get a new door handle for the passenger side because mine broke and if you sit in the passenger seat you will have to open the door from the outside. One more thing my coolant is spilling out the leak is under the oil dip stick how would i fix this

Thank You

This is where the coolant is leaking out from do you know what hose that is and where to buy a new one?

Thank You

looks like its your heater core hose....But it's not really clear by the picture. ALso it could be your BAC valve...Those are the hoses in that area that carry coolent

You can get a new handle at the wreaking yard, its the cheapest and fastest way, and the sealed beams are cheap, look on ebay or at autzone there like 15 bucks each light depending on what brand you get silverstars are 20 each. pretty cheap...

maybe its the heater hose where the coolant is leaking from but i will snap some more picture just in case its a different hose, there is a wire inside that hose where it is leaking from would that help to identify which hose it is?

There should be no wires inside the hose...There are wires by the hose like the oil pressure sending unit wire, and I think there's a wire that is for coolent temperater....But you should have no wire "inside" the hose.

today i saw steam coming out of the raditor the pipe where u fill the coolent is that what is causing my temp gauge in my car to go up cause i am scare to drive it because the temp gauge almost maxed out when i start my car for like 5-10 min?

Mobius 04-28-06 10:29 PM

Well, if you have a faulty hose some where and its leaking or Bulging (from age, ware or even a pin prike size hole) this will result an alteration in your coolent flow that can cause it to overheat.

Steam coming out of the radiator "pipe"? I assume you mean where you add collent directly to the radiotor and not the over flow reservoir? (which one are you talking about??)

Obviosly if you're leaking coolent, you are replacing what you have lossed by adding more, right? My first bet is that it is the heater core hose that goes from the fire wall of your car (driverside) and into your motor right below the oil pressure sending unit (round brass colored with one wire one it).

Man, just take out the radio. :)

kamikazee47 04-28-06 10:38 PM

what are you talking about eatmyclutch "just take out the radio" i fix the fuse problem, now im having problem of my car overheating

kamikazee47 04-29-06 12:02 AM

The steam is coming out of where i add the coolent directly not the resoviour tank. also steam is also coming out of the heaterhose and that is where it is leaking,

Should i replace the hose plus the radiator b/c i just bought me a koyo radiator i don't know if its any good.

here are some more picture of the hose which one is which?

Mobius 04-29-06 04:32 PM

the one going from your firewall, the picture on the left, is the heater core hose.

The one on the right is not a coolent hose at all, it is your wiring harness and it is electrical.

If you have steam coming from where you are filling it up at, then it probably means that you have not secured the radiator cap all the way down tight, or you may have the wrong radiator cap entirely. No steam should be coming from that cap if it correctly fastened down and sealing the radiator.
