Has any a problem with putting in a keyless entry

Just curious I am thinking about installing a keyless entry into my 88 GXL but not sure if it would work well. Has anyone had any problems with that?

Sure, why not? I have had keyless entry into my RX-7 since the late '90s. I used a set of actuators purchased from a local auto parts store, and a controller from a company who's name I cannot remember now...I think it was AutoLoc. Easy to set up.

the thing to remember is that the driver side door does not have a power actuator, only the passenger side. So when you turn the key, it mechanically unlocks the driver side and then turns on the passenger side actuator. So install an actuator for the driver side for it to work

Also an actuator with smoother action. The $99 installed special on my car tends to be a bit jaring. Plus every time you disconnect the battery, it goes back to "lock doors on on/ignition", which can lead to "keys locked in car" should you warm up the car in the winter. Finally keyless entry sounds good, until you have to attach that remote to your keychain, and then realize it's not worth it.
