Half-Bridge Port..
Yes i have searched so dont tell me to...
i'm getting ready to port my engine, im doing a half bridge port, i am trying to find some templates so i can start the process. does any one know where to get some templates ? |
full bridges and half bridges use the same template. A lot of the major companies have templates so it shouldn't be too hard to find.
Here's what your half bridge TII would sound like. http://media.putfile.com/short-bridge

thank you, i have tried seaching because i know its been talked about, but with the search just didnt find what i was looking for, but that link is helping alot, thanks
shit, i'm still confused for what i want now.. after that i dont know if HBP or FBP might be to much for what i want.. ? i want around 350rwhp, running the BNR stage4.. would either of those ports be to much?
guys get over 350 rwhp with no porting...
Search again :D go a BP their good fun with a turbo :) but you may need a bigger turbo to keep up with it :D |
yea i think thats what im coming to the conclusion of. i just pmed BDC getting his input
You can get 350+ on a good streetport with great driveability. A half bridge sounds awesome though (that's why I posted a video) with a little compromise in drivability but quicker turbo spool and more power (need a bigger turbo for it too to get the most out of it). BDC is a good guy for porting, building and advice.
yea see i would really love to have the Half Bridge or Full bridge, but i dont want to have to make HIGH hp numbers just to have it, i want a good Drift, 1/4 mile car.
so going with a half bridge port, for EXHAUST port would i use the Mazda trix Race port or the Street Port?
Without knowing the shape of each exhaust it's hard to say.
The street template (it's basically a RB template) moves the exhaust down a bit. This will hit the turbo harder and increase spool but will hurt you in the top end. If the race template moves the exhaust up and generally makes it bigger, this is best for a high RPM engine and bridgeports. Your BNR stage 4 is too small for a bridgeport. |
