H3 bulb wiring...

Ok, so I have to replace my Fog Light bulbs. So, I went to Part Source and the computer and book said to get H3 ST bulbs. So, I got them.

Then, I took out my fogs and looked at the bulbs, and they are completely different.

The bulbs that are in there have two prongs. The H3 ST's have a white cord looking wire with one single prong. Someone told me that I have to rig up a ground wire, but I've tried that, not too sure where to attach it.

Any ideas? Or a completely different way to wire it? Or am I in the wrong boat here?

Thanks.

The stock fog light bulbs are H3C's which aren't commonly stocked. They're not too hard to find though, you just might have to have a shop order them in, or you could look for them online. Common H3 bulbs can be made to work if you're stuck.

Ahh, you are a life saver.

I was looking at that link, and I had them set up the same way (grounded that is). But I still kept blowing fuses even when nothing was touching.

Weird.
but I'll take another stab it at.

thanks again!

If you were blowing fuses something was definitely touching. It's hard to get the extra wire to fit in there nicely without it rubbing on something and wearing through the insulation. That's what happened to me anyway.
