GXLII: Finally took it for a drive!

Well, after many hours of playing, fiddling, and adjusting, we finally decided to swap spark plugs, and low and behold, it finally fired up on it's own power! Though, the air flow meter is faulty and making the car have issues at higher rpm's, it definatly was fun to finally get to drive it around! I'm probably going to post a history of the car, and include pictures of each stage of my conversion, but I was just so happy to finally take it for a drive that I couldn't resist ;) I didn't get to take her very far, but we cruised along at 3,500rpm in 3rd gear at 3.7lbs of boost, so I was quite happy with the turn out. I can't wait to get it running smooth so I can finally drive out more than just a mile at a time. Thanks for everyone's help in my quest :)

Yea it was nice I cant beleive the beast started right up. Nice to go for a ride in it after all that work you have done to it. And DAMN that bov is loud when your ear is next to it adjusting the idle screw.

Hahaha, my mom heard it in the living room over the TV, she though I blew a tire! OH, the problem we had was due to the spark plugs, almost 95% sure, that and the AFM of course, but I'm positive those spark plugs are part of it!

Cool hopefully the next batch will be ok. Damn maybe we should ask checker if they are picking up rejected plugs!

No shit, I've gone through 8 plugs so far... Oh well, maybe some new ones will take care of it, did you check your email? I emailed you about it. It makes perfect sense, after it heated up those plugs probably bit the dust, especially being your old worn out ones.
