GTX and Infini question

sorry, i sucked at searching.
I'm wondering what the major differences there are in the GTX and Infini FC compared to the US model. And, if there were ways I can build up my T2 to closely match them in performance and handling.
Thanks, sodara

Why would you want to build your car to mimic another stock model?

I like rx7's even in stock form, for what they are.
I'm just curious about what the performance differences are. Thanks if anyone knows. I'm still currently searching for info.

Searching the 2nd Gen section for "Infini" gets 428 hits.

Searching the 2nd Gen section for "GTX" gets 478 hits.

Searching the 2nd Gen section for "GT-X" (correct spelling) gets 108 hits.

Do you really suck that bad?

Your TII is already about equivalent to a GT-X.

GT-X is an all-out luxury model.
It is basically identical to the Turbo II model in the U.S.A.

The Infini I / II / III / IV models are special lightweight models (well, at least the last IV was).
There is easily found documentation on the Infini IV.
Hell, I think there's a link the FAQ stickies on top.
It's just basically special wheels, special shocks, a little freer flowing exhaust, special sport seats, and little lightening.
It's a fricken waste of time and money trying to copy one of those.

A US-spec Turbo II with full exhaust and full suspension will run rings around any of those models...for less money and less effort.

if i were in your shoes, i'd go after the infini seats, infini rims (16x8's!), and if you don't have an S5, i'd look for the front and rear bumpers, body moldings, S5 TII sideskirts, OEM S5 TII front lip, OEM fogs, JDM side mirrors, and the JDM FTP's... and if you want, paint the car emerald/forest green... you're looking to spend around 4 grand for all those parts + a nice paint job... totalling to about 5-7 grand!! just to look like an Infini IV...

i pretty much had all those parts listed (except the seats and wheels), but the front bumper i've always wanted for the FC came along and pretty much forced me to head another direction... i've still got the JDM side mirrors and the S5 TII sideskirts if you're interested :D

It's got two models above it and three models above it. Those three models have a lot more "luxury" items, like sunroof, leather, CD, ABS, and cruise control. The GT-X was the most common model, as is probably the most sport-oriented given it was the only one with an LSD and rear spoiler.

I've seen a lot more GT-R's than GT-X's...at least in Japan.
GT-R was a lower model than the GT-X.

All the FC's over here are are Japanese imports, and I seem to have noticed more GT-X's than GT-R's. Mind you many off them have lost their stickers at this age so who knows. It'd be interesting to see the sales figures.
