Griffin or K2RD Radiator w/ Electric Fan?
 

I need some opinions on radiators. I am undecided between the Griffon 24x19 inch from Summit or the oen from K2RD and its getting time to order one. I have searched and seen that you have to do some modification to make the Griffon ones work but they are alot cheaper. Which one cools better? Complaints about either? Any help would be appreciated.

A few of my friends and mechanics use griffins in there FD's. These rad's cool very well and are priced right. They also look very good. Griffin are the rads that they use in Nascar btw. From what I've heard and seen I would definately go with one. Much better than that Fluidyne junk and cheaper too.

i have a fluidyne in my black car. Heres why i dont like it:

The pipes on the radiator are too small. You cant use the factory radiator hoses with the factory clamps, it will leak. You can to use the god-awful worm drive clamps. I hate that. All that and it cools as good as the factory radiator.

Well anyone have a good diagram of sizes to send griffon to get one that matches our setup or should I yank mine out to measure it? Still haven't heard much of K2RD's version. Anyone have that?

Yes, but my engine is broke. Right now, that K2RD rad is a decoration. But, might I say, it is HUGE!:)

Whohas the best deal on the Griffin rads??Im also planning on replacing my stock one with a more better cooling rads.

God-awful worm drive clamps? These are far more reliable than the clamps fitted by the factory (because they're cheap and quick to install) which cannot clamp nearly as firmly as worm drive ones. That's a pretty lame reason to call it "junk".
You say it "cools as good as the factory radiator"; does that mean it has overheated? Or simply the stock one never did and this one hasn't either? Just curious.

Well, the factory clamps do keep a constant spring tension on the hose. Screw down ones may be on tight initially and then begin to leak after many heating/cooling cycles loosen them or shrink/ harden the hose. No biggie w/ easy to get to coolant clamps, but sucks on hard to get to fuel clamps.
