got spark/ idle problems?

Alot of time, people equate idle problems with a bad TPS. This isn't always the case.

Here's a quick way to make sure your spark plug wires aren't the cause of rough idle, and/ or missing:

Remove a single spark plug wire. Check each end of the cable, making sure the lead on the cable can make a SOLID connection with the spark plug.

If not, spray a little WD40 into the end of the connection boot (The side to the Spark plug). While holding the boot in one hand, twist and push the wire, itself, with the other hand. The desired result is to have the connection come out of the boot; mind keeping the boot on the wire. (If this doesn't work, use needlenose pliers to CAREFULLY pull the lead out of the boot. Be careful NOT TO BREAK THE LEAD!!!)

Take the lead that you just pushed out, and check it for rust, etc. This can cause ill fitting/ connections.

Take the lead, and MANUALLY attach it to the sparkplug - It'll make a small "click" when it seats.

Do this to each wire, ONE AT A TIME so that you don't mix up the connections (It makes it alot easier to do it, one at a time, too)

Once all the leads are seated, properly, Drive the car to check idle, and engine performance.

Hope this helps somebody!
