Got New TII: Idles Rough, Warning Buzzer Always On, Fuel Gauge Doesn't Work

Picked up a T2 today, and so far I love, but it does have 3 small issues.

1.) From a cold start, it will idle at about 1500 smooth, then a minute or two later, the idle will go down to about 1000 and it will idle real rough, like it has a nasty vacuum leak. Anything that would cause this besides a vacuum leak? I pokd around under the hood and looked at the, what seemed like miles of, vacuum lines while the car was running and didn't hear anything obviously leaking.

2. About the same time that the idle starts to stumble, a loud and very annoying buzzer goes off in the cluster and does not stop. No idiot lights flash or anything, just the annoying buzzing.

3. Gas gauge does not work all the way, it only rises to maybe 1/8th tank. The previous owner suggested something with a metal leveer on the back of the cluster.... any how-to's on this?

Other than that........ car pulls very hard, harder than my VR6-swapped Mk2 GTi ever did. The gauge is showing 11-12 pounds of boost at WOT, the car has a MBC that is fully closed at the moment, and a FCD. Does that boost sound about right? Not looking to blow it up anytime soon.

Thanks for any help in advance.

Could the Gas Sensor be broke/floating? Not 100% that one, that would be one thing I would check.

The buzzer, no idiot lights? I suggest checking all your fluids, and make sure everything is up and good.

When I got my TII, my air filter was loose a couple screws were lose to my exhaust. I tightened those screws up, and the rough idle was gone for the most part.

Quick question, what does WOT stand for?

Wide Open Throttle

There is an exhaust leak that sounds like it's either in or right after the downpipe, maybe I will check that.

10-11 pounds? On a stock turbo?

That's bad...

Few new things I found out tonight -

The line that runs from after the main cat back up to the front was cut off. I welded the hole in the exhaust shut, and capped the other end up by the engine. I also checked the TPS with a multimeter and it is shot.

Turning the screw in the side of the BAC does nothing for the idle speed.

The car idles at about 1500, running up to 1800 then back down, then back up, then back down, and it runs rough, like misfiring and cutting out while doing this. It is also only pulling about 13 pounds of vacuum while doing this.

Other than the idle, the car runs perfect. Any ideas?

Oh, and the buzzer was for the oil. Went ahead and changed it and the filter so I got that taken care of.

that main line that goes from the main cat goes to the air pump. that will be a key thing to have if you need to pass smog. if not then pull of the cat and the air pump since it will be not needed.
