Got ND Fuel Pump - Small rattle?

This might not be the right section, but I felt it would get the most attention.

I just bought a NipponDenso fuelpump to replace the pump I currently have in my car right now (Walbro 255), just because of some of the horror stories I have read about them.

Now, I just recieved my fuel pump from Jason at RX7store. I took it out, and, when a shake it a little it makes a very small rattle, like something is loose inside it.

It sounds confined to a certain area - is this just the noise of a normal moving part that's not currently doing anything when not hooked up? It doesn't sound like its flying around the whole inside of the pump.

I know this post is kind of odd, I just have a small case of OCD and like to make sure everything is fine before I put it in my car. Would anyone else happen to have one lying around that they could tell me if this does the same thing?

Thanks!

Man this is strange, I just read your post and I have the same pump sitting on my comp desk! Yes the rattle is normal, mine has been in my AE for almost to years and I took it out to clean it up and put my new one in and it happend to be right thier! WEIRD! Mine rattled when I got it and I just shook it and it still ratlles so I don't think you have anything to worry about!;)

Thought you had supra pump??

Sweet, thanks! :D

I was under the impression the NipponDenso fuel pump was the Supra pump. I've been told this by many people, so.. the more you know :)
