questions for thought
is there really a difference between fwd and rwd rims? if so whats the difference?
im bought some 2004 mitsubishi eclipse 16" rims from the tire warehouse, used of course do i need to do any extras or do they fit perfect? they have 225/55 tires on them!! thanx chris |
come on anyone!!

The offset is usually different.
|
Yeah it's usually just the offset is different. If you ignore the marketting gimmicks (ie: FWD/RWD rims, racing rims, etc) and just pay attention to the specs, if it fits what you need it's good.
|
if they are the right size, there is no difference. as the pinapple living sponge said, it's just a marketing gimmick.
|
that tire size is a bit larger than the stock FC size tire. You're speedo may be a bit off. But i'm using a set of '99 eclipse wheels... and they're working for me fine.

Is adjusting the speedometer a big deal?
|
same question above, is the speedometer easy to adjust?
vietfc did u have to get spacers and different lugs or did they go on smoothly? i get them tomorrow!! |
good question ^
|
no spacers or anything... but it's advised that you use the eclipse lug nuts. They have a special fat portion to them that center the wheel onto the hub. You can use your regular FC lugnuts... but gotta be careful that the wheel is centered... else the wheel wont be mounted right. But that is common sense type stuff.

thanx vietfc, now how about the speedo, how do u adjust it right or where can i go?
