Good Price for a 88 T2..?
whats a good price for a 88 T2 with around 90K miles..? Also should i keep looking for a S5 instead of S4 or are they pretty much the same except for the weight and the 200hp on the S5..?

i payed about $1000 for my 10th AE. id check with KBB.com before i look at any other cars, they are really accurate on gauging prices

Got my 87 t2 with a rebuilt motor for 3k. I'd go with the s4. Don't like the automatic seatbelts, and the extra weight/extra HP kinda cancel each other out.

i got my 88 T2 for $2700. It had a rebuilt motor with less than 15k on it, well taken care of interior, but a lil scrape on the pass side. Otherwise everything worked and was in excellent condition. Oh and it had <100K on body.
Also had Full RB exhaust....turbo back |

It really depends on whos selling it, whats been done to it, etc... These cars arent guaged well at all on KBB. These cars have a fan base, which means their prices in general will be higher than their really 'worth'. 5,000 - 9,000 is about the price range of a GOOD FC. You want a piece of shit car, you can pick up a 1,000 dollar rx7 that need another 10,000 dollars in body work, engine work, and general repairs. You get what you pay for. Just look over the car well.
however s4's go for a lot less than s5's. I know people that paid a little over 1000 for s4's, and I paid 8,000 for my completely stock 91 s5 a couple years ago. You can see the price difference is pretty big. also has a LOT to do with location. |
