good deal?
is this a good deal please let me know. it is a 1987 rx7 turboed with rims and body kit body has 145k on it but was replaced with a new engine with 45k the interior is in great shape with racing seats and gauges has exaust system engines is stock hes asking 5000 for it
would like to see pics so we can give you our best guess....
from what you state, its a bit much for im assuming is an N/A. if it was a turboII then its might be feasible but only under certain circumstances |
kind of high if you ask me
its turboed
javascript:swapImg(4);
i would hustle, go less
do you think it would be quick
if i do get it i am upgarding turbo and front mount
its ugly as fuck. but i guess 5k is good. make sure everythin is in good condition and he isnt a dumbfuck when it came to swapping the engine.
it appears to be stock. so its not quick but its not slow. you couldnt beat an rsx type-s but you could walk all over the base rsx.
is 45k alot fo the engine
if you DO get it you should make sure it is problem free before you go dumping money into parts that might not even be able to work.
Do a conpression test and check to make sure the motor IS in good condition. Make sure you see receipts and that the motor WAS replaced. I think he's asking a little too much for it though. here is what I noticed: Kaminari discontinued front bumper bomex rear bumper clean interior good bodywork NO ENGINE SHOTS! I would not offer more than $4500-$5000. 45K miles on a babied motor is nothing 45K miles on a motor that has been beat up and rarely maintained is not good. Unless you have x-ray vision you can't tell. DO A COMPRESSION CHECK AND DO A THOUGHROUGH INSPECTION. and if you ask us WHAT to look for then imma e-smack you across your face so hard your ancestors will feel it across time. |
lol
would you upgrade the tubo once its problem free?
yes. I do recommend BNR turbos for their simplicity (when it comes to installing it and you don't need a special manifold or to change your current exhaust) DO a lot of research before you upgrade anything.
yea and how much horse am i look at if i do?
?
depends.
stage one is supposed to be good for 300hp stage 2 is good for 350 stage 3&4 get you closer to 400hp you really shouldn't worry about this right now. Asking about it now is like a 4 year old asking whether he should upgrade his tricicle with a harley motor. Go inspect the car. That's all you need to do. Once you decide you ARE going to get it then make sure you do a tune-up (if it's needed) and go dive it. Get used to it, get used to how it drives and how it feels. Once you KNOW what you're up against you can begin upgrading your car. You cannot upgrade the turbo without first working on the FUEL supply FIR the turbo. DO a lot of research and don't get a head of yourself. If you're not going to listen to anything else you should at least pay attention to this: If you rush into a purchase without first ensuring it IS a good BUY then you're going to waste $$, time and patience. DO NOT RUSH INTO IT BECAUSE YOU THINK YOU'LL NEVER GET THIS OPPORTUNITY AGAIN. |
ight thanks bro
trust me though. I'm talking from personal experience. I would have been able to buy an FD if I had not rushed into my FC purchase (bad motor and other issues when the guy said the motor was freshly rebuilt)
