Good or Bad Deal???

Hey all, I have run across a couple of RX7's and wanted to know if the asking prices are within reason.

The first one is a 86 base 4-lug with 180,000. It has no options except a factory rear flat spoiler and a electric sunroof. It has lost compression on the back rotor and needs a few other minor things. Asking price is $500 but I think that $400.00 will take it.

The next one is a 88 GXL with 160,000. It is all power inside, electric sunroof and kinda trashed interior. (bad carpet and door panels) It has a cracked windshield and a few minor bumps and places although no rust. It also has a rotor that has lost compression. Asking price for it was $800 but I got it for $500.00

Did I get ripped or did I get a OK deal?

the deal on the GXL is "ok" if all the accessories are working: switches, A/C, P/S, etc...

basically if you can use it or part it out.

the other "base" is ok to turn into a race car, just strip it and put a motor in it.

Both are good at about $500 each.

The GXL fixed up (new door panels/carpet/windsheild) with fetch $1200 w/o a new motor and maybe $2000 with a new motor.

Try the ATF treatment before pulling the motors.

anything that you can drive home without the wrecker is a good deal for 500 dollars

correction:

any RX-7 that you can drive home without the wrecker and the body is good. is a good deal
