getting extremely low gas mileage

A while back my car was heavily flooded, after fixing it, I got new spark plugs, a new clutch, and now some 17 inch rims and tires.
Lately, I have been noticing that I am getting really poor gas mileage. I have to put in like about 5 dollars a day and thats because the fuel light keeps coming on. From 5 dollars, I get about 2.7 gallons of 87 octane, and that lasts me only about a little less than 20 miles.
The car drives good still, but I was wondering if something could be blown, like a seal or if one of the rotors are bad. My friends also said it could be a result, of a bad o2 sensor, an exhaust leak, or a bad fuel filter. I also performed a search and thats what came up. I was just trying to make sure that the motor itself is not bad.

prolly the 02, but you need to get a more accurate mpg. fill the tank all the way, and then figure it out

Instead of spending money on rims, get a full 30k tuneup. air, fuel, injectors clean, o2 sensor, change all fluids... etc.

Also check to see if your exhuast isn't clogged, it's clogged it could cause bad gas milage.. check Cat.

Yep, 02 sensor & or partially plugged cat makes sense...
Also as stated, fill it up and reset your trip to check actual mileage...
Good luck/skill!
