gauge cluster lights and power windows dont work
 
well on my 86 rx7 and when my lights r on my gauge cluster dosent light up and im not sure what i need 2 do 2 get them 2 light up
my power windows dont dont work i know it could be the motors im not sure so i was wondering what the probles could be with them and if any of you have had this problem befor and how do i fix them

Your headlight switch is likely the problem. This happened to me. I just wired it up to bypass the switch so the dash lights come on all the time when ever the key is on. A brand new switch is about $500 bucks from Mazda, so if you can't find a used one you may want to rewire it. There are also fixes on the internet if you are good with soldering and have an electronic parts store near by.

damn are you saying that if that baby goes out your guage cluster wont work? ive never known that.

No, if the headlight switch fails (as thejrman's probably did- and he would have already known the answer too if he read the FAQ for FC sticky thread found at the top of this section) the gauges don't light up.

They still work, they just don't light up with the lights on.
