Are gas fumes(vapours illegal????
 

Just to end this debate, what do the rest of you think?

Are gas fumes from tail pipe/filler pipe/charcoal canister/gas station/fuel cans/lawn mowers/etc?

don't see why they would, but I think they're just regulated on certain vehicles and machines
But I have no factual info behind this, more of a guessing game

Just a note: the laws I am going by are regulated by British Columbia Canada. It may be different elsewherem but I know for a fact it is illegal in California. I also doubt that cars would be sold with a charcoal canister if it wasn't necessary.
No street car pours raw gasoline vapours from the tail pipe while running.

There isn't a law in alberta that restricts gas fumes.

Tailpipe-Depends on amount of hydrocarbons. They must be no higher than an acceptable level for the year and make of car.
Fillerpipe/Gas station-The nozzles are covered to contain vapors when refueling.
Charcoal cannister-No vapors should be emitted-The cannister retains and "recycles" vapors back into the engine. There is a relieve valve if the cannister is overloaded.
Can't do much about fuel cans and lawn mowers-no law that I know of.

Yes, gas fumes are illegal! You must keep your gas from fuming. If gas is found to be evaporating (fuming) it can be seized and taken to an alternate atmosphere where it cannot fume. You MUST keep your fumes contained in the gas or you can be fined for "illegal use of gas".

Since there is really no way to contain gas fumes on this planet, you must never be cought using gas!!

Passing gas is even worse! you must contain all gas within your bung hole until you are in a proper gas expelling facility. Violators can, and usually will, be punched very hard in the arm for expelling gas around inocent by standers.

I just released a set of vapors from "my" tailpipe. Seeing how I have no filters between my tailpipe and the atmosphere, I am afraid the gas police will soon by hot on my tail.

BTW...My dog should be shot for the vapors that she releases from her tailpipe. Atleast once a night, rather early in the morning, my wire and I are awoken from a deep sleep, and have had to evacuate our bedroom because of the illegal, and most vile vapors.

I wonder if it is pergerey if you blame your release of vapors on your pet? After eating several bags of, and the one that I took out of my 1st gen, charcol, I would have thought that would have reduced the emmisions problem. Guess that was a farce.
