fuel system questions
 

hey, I'm about to replace the the leaky injectors in my S5 but I have some questions first. I just got it and I plan on doing alot of mods to it but I haven't really done any yet. a little while down the road I was planing to put bigger injectors on but since I have to change the injectors now I was wondering if I just put the bigger injectors on with the stock fuel pump and ECU would it mess stuff up and/or run way too rich (I was thinking like 720cc primarys and 1600cc secondarys) also I guess I would probably have to get a fuel pressure regulator too. could someone explain the fuel line sizes to me? what is the stock size, -6? and I know I would have to probably replace my fuel rails too to fit the big injectors in...

if any body has some input it would be greatly appreaciated...

umm if you do that you would mess everything up!!
probably be running too rich..
you shuld use a stand alone computer when upgrading to those huge injectors ..
go with a standalone computer..

u dont have to urgrade your lines but i would go with a better fuel pump and a newer high flow filter with a regulator..

If you were crazy enough to install 720 and 1600cc/min injectors with no way of controlling them, I doubt the engine would even run. More than double the normal amount of fuel would be injected. Stick with the stock injectors until you need something bigger.

just get your injectors rebuilt for cheap and then dish out the money later on to upgrade to bigger injectors. Like NZConvertible said, going that big on an otherwise close to stock engine is way too overkill.
