Fuel System

Hey guys. I am doing some mods and I was under my car and wondering what the 3 fuel lines are all about. I know one is a feed and the next one would be a return. But that third one there that runs into the white diaphragm above the diff on the passenger side is that a fuel tank vent?

I am postive it has to be, but it goes from the tank to the diaphragm that splits to two places. One into the little cubby hole behind the passenger side, and the other one goes to the drive side and than runs up to the front of the car with the brake line and other fuel lines.

That's called the "check and cut valve".
It's part of the evap emission system and apparently checks and cuts stuff.

So it is not a tank vent at all than. So I would be able to get rid of the whole line that runs from the valve to the front of the car than.

To what purpose?

I can't recommend removing it because I really don't know what it does.

It is a tank vent. It's the vent to the evap system. There is a "check and cut" valve mounted near the tank. It's just a check valve so I think it's there to prevent the tank sucking it's own vapors back in, for some reason. Probably so the system can keep a slight vacuum on the tank.

Don't eliminate the system. Keep it plumbed as it is from the factory.

Ya I removed it from the valve forward as it is not hooked up to the front anymore with my own fuel lines I have ran.

Thanks again guys of rx7club!
