Fuel rail leaking around injectors
So I was going to maybe start up the 7 today so I jumper-ed the fuel jumper.
Then I hit the key to pressurize the system and all I heard the air going through the lines and then all of a sudden I hear gas hitting the floor.... :banghead: I pulled the UIM and found out its from one of the primaries. So I am trying to figure out if its the o rings or if its part of the injector itself possibly the fuel rail? I am going to start out with the O rings and go from there can anyone think of anything else? Does anyone know the size of the o rings the injectors use? |

About half-way down the page you can purchase new O-rings and/or the injectors... |

about half way down the page. the o-rings have an unusual shape, not really something you could just pickup from the hardware/parts store i think |
Mazdatrix is down for some reason I have been looking on atkins site they don't look different or is it just me?
NVM just went to atkins and now their domain is for sale wtf... is going on. |
Also, the local injection shop. And at the same time, have the injectors cleaned. :)
Actually, you can also hit the local hydraulic shop. Just bring an injector with you and get some Viton o-rings to match the old ones. Make sure to lube the o-rings when you insert the injectors. |
Unless the fuel lines are relatively new, I'd replace them at the same time. Just one of those things you ought to do unless you want to pull the manifold again sometime soon. Also, I find it best to twist the injector up into the rail so you avoid pinching the o-ring.

Yeah I replaced the fuel lines with s.s. -6an so that should be good to go.
I am just going to go get all my injectors cleaned and flow tested and stop being a tightwad Thanks for the input guys |
they're just 11mm o-rings just like most other top feed Japanese cars... You should be able to go to any autoparts store and get o-rings.
I got a variety pack from advance auto and they worked great. oiling the o-rings helps a lot. |
I just bought all those o-rings and grommets from mazda and payed double for everything. Im a loser.
