fuel pressure

********87 turbo 2, rebuilt engine not in yet, 3 inch RB exhaust and open airbox with a k&n drop in filter.*******

I am going to go the route of rewiring the fuel pump and getting a kenne bell "boost-a-pump"

does any one forsee a problem with this?

and

what constant pressure can I run?

and

is there a fuel pressure regulator you guys like more than the "boost-a-pump"?

thanks guys

btw, i will be running boost, afr, and fuel pressure gauges.

Fuel pressure isn't constant, it rises and falls with manifold pressure. You only need to increase fuel pressure if you need get more fuel into the engine because you're running lean. A rising-rate FPR can do this, but it's a bit crude. The first thing you should do is replace the stock fuel pump with something like a Walbro. Then decide if you need more pressure (unlikely).

The Boost-a-Pump is an electronic voltage booster, not a pressure regulator.

fuel pump

thanks man,

I hear alot about the WALBRO 255 pump. the dude I bought the car from put a Bosch pump in that was big bucks. I dont recall the model. I think he paid like 3-4 hundred for it. Somewhere I thought I heard it was superior to the walbro pump.

what are you takes. BTW, the pump was NOT rewired. I do plan I doing that.
