Fuel input

I am slightly confused as to how the fuel should be flowing... From the fuel filter, which fuel line on the side of the engine does it go to? And if it has been reversed with fuel flowing into the return line, what could happen?

I ask because looking at the Haynes manual, it shows it going into BOTH from the fuel filter line... On seperate pages. So now I am confused and I NEED to get this car running. I have fuel pressure and fuel flowing from the filter because when I removed my hoses, fuel spit out.

So, since the two lines go to the pirmary rail and the other one to the pressure regulator, which line should the fuel be flowing INTO?

If the fuel is flowing the right way, I have spark, and it's not starting, what could be wrong or going on? I'm assuming I have voltage to the injectors since it's the same harness from my 87.

fuel goes from the fuel filter to the primary (shorter) fuel rail, and then to the secondary and out.

If the fuel flows into the return line then very little fuel will make it through to the injectors.

If the return line was disconnected, placed into a jug, fuel check connector jumpered, and key to on then the jug should fill up with fuel rather quickly.

Is the engine a JDM? If so, then the lines are reversed when compared to non-JDM's. On a non-JDM, the send line is furthest from the fire wall while the return line is closest to the fire wall (and reverse for the JDM).
