fuel injectors?

Can i just let my injectors soak in carburator cleaner to clean them or how do i do it?

They need to be "professionally" cleaned to be done right.

The "cheap" way to do it is to click them open and close with a 9V battery and shoot come kinda cleaner down the tops.

BE VERY CAREFUL WHEN DOING THIS as flammable fluid and sparks (and it will spark!) will cause FIRE!

I soaked my injectors in simple green (as per a friend's advice) and then I ran lean at 6K in 4th gear and popped my engine. After buying a new fuel pump, rewiring it, and getting a fuel pressure gauge to monitor the pressure. The part I was cheap on was the part that blew my engine.. (cleaning the injectors).

They were dirty. :)

Oh man, that's scary.
Simple Green was just dumped by like the Air Force for causing errosion in their aluminum panels on their planes.
I wouldn't want to stick that stuff near a precisely toleranced component like a fuel injector!&nbsp On top of that, it's water based!
