Fuel Cut Problem
Hi, this is my first thread, and I need some help. I have a 1990 S5 NA. I recently purchased this car and a problem has developed with it.
Under 20-30% throttle, I have no problems, the car revs freely and can climb to redline slowly. However, if I exceed this throttle, the fuel cuts and nothing happens. This doesn't sound like the 3800rpm hesitation to me? I have a CEL on, and it read codes 02 and 03 for the crank angle sensor. I tested the sensor and it reads within tolerance (168ohms, with a range of 110-210ohms specified in the manual). So my question is, where do I go from here? I wanted to test the resistance values at the ECU itself, but I cannot find what pins to test to make sure that the problem is the wiring harness. Also, I've spent a while searching for a thread on this and cant find one, so if there is one, some assistance finding it would help. |
Update, I am challenged... The codes are 20 (MOP Position Sensor) and 30 (Split air valve, I'm assuming because the person I bought it off of removed the CAT). So now I'm off to check for the OMP. Hopefully its only disconnected :iwstupid:
