i have some tII fuel injectors and i wanted to know if i should put them for secondaries and i have a 87gxl
my mods are a road race header ,k&n filter,ac&cv cover plate,no a/c ,msd spark plug wires,

Scott 89t2 03-12-02 01:11 AM

no, maybe after your port your engine. do you have a full exhaust after the header as well?

rx-7fc 03-12-02 01:17 AM

yes i full exhaust and only one cat

Scott 89t2 03-12-02 01:18 AM

if you still have a cat you will definatly not need more fuel.

The size of your injectors is sufficient for up to about 250hp. Controlling them is another matter, but you won't need to replace them unless you go beyond a big street port.

let me chime in my agreement....

You won't need biger injectors on a NA unless the motor is ported or you are using NOS.

NO reason to use them and you will loose HP putting them in unless the motor is radically moded

what kind of porting can i do

menace 03-12-02 06:20 PM

For clarification...
Bigger injectors are not necessary for a wet shot. If you are running over a 50 shot, you really shouldn't be running a dry shot anyway, and unless you have a seriously ported motor, a 50 shot will still have you under the max limit of the stock fuel injectors.
Without serious porting, bigger injkectors are rarely ever needed.
