Fuel?

I was wondering what type of gas is good for my rotary. I have an rx7 non- tubo, for a long time ive been running 92 gas. My car is running great and strong just wanted to know what you guys think. Thanks Lots

I think 87 works just fine in a n/t car.

All you need to run is 87 for you car, running 92 is doing nothing for you, you're actually prolly losing a little power.

yea use the lowest octance available to you because anything higher is a waste of money. Higher octane fuel burns cleaner and slower so on an NA you will not get full combustion where on a turbo'd car you would need higher octane to prevent detonation.

OWNER'S MANUAL USED TO SAY 90 OR HIGHER. WASN'T AWARE OF THE CHANGE.

It is true that 87 runs the best but over time 87 will build up carbon in the engine because it doens't burn as clean.

Not sure if its the gasoline that leaves carbon deposits or if its burned oil or maybe a combination of both but going to redline every once in a while helps to clean up carbon build up.
