Fucking warning buzzers!!!
 

ever since i put my new motor in i get a damn warning buzzer when ever the car is running like constently non stop 24/7 type bull shit.. like it even goes on if the key is just in the on postion.. i cannot really hear b/c my car is to loud but just barely ya know.. its really really annoying and i am just gonna start ripping stuff out if it dont go away.. my question is where the lil computor thingy that controls the warning buzzers so i can unplug the damn thing.. thanks Dave

It depends on which buzzer if its the door one its in the little black box right next to the fuse block behind the plastic quarter panel on the drivers side. I stabed mine with a screw driver that thing was annoying as hell.

does your coolant light come on?

disconnect the battery.. er.. no.. bad idea

or you culd just fix what ever is wrong with the car its probable going off for a reason

if you removed your power steering, and put a manual rack in it could be the power steering warning sensor just pull out the fuse. if it makes 2 or three beeps each time it goes off.

A warning buzzer is an idiot buzzer... it means something is broken and your car needs fixing or if you keep driving, something will be broken.

i had the add coolant buzzer, so i grounded it out. no, not the smartest thing, but anyone who has heard the buzzer knows how annoying it is. also, the 2 beeps pause i also have, but it seems to be in sync with my electric (broken) seat belts. both problems have been present since i bought the car. i've heard the warning buzzer for two reasons. "Add Coolant" and "Low Oil." check your idiot lights and make sure those are good. i know my oil light went out soon-after.

no idiot lights are on.. i did remove the power steering though.. all coolant levels are good.. i removed the oil thermo pellet thing in the oil to put my oil temp guage there could that be it?? oh ya the buzzer doesnt pause then beep its just a consistent beep.. dave

Do you mean the oil level sender in the oil pan???

If so, yes that would be causing the buzzer.

no not the level senser its called a oil thermo pellet.. its right next to the senser though.

ok...my add coolant buzzer on my car goes off constantly..Now, i know my coolant levels good and all but the buzzer still goes off..so what i did was take that sensor wire (black) on top of the radiator and grounded it. and that took out the nasty buzzer..give that a try...that thing is facking annoying

i had the same thing happin to me i thoguht it was a millon things . i checked the colent all the time it was the rad caps and i had to let my car sit over night to cool down then i checked the colent and i was low let your car sit for a while and then check the colent if not my friend made a thing that stops the buzzer from going off i`m sure he would make you one you plug it in where the water level sensor gos something like that well email me if you need more info on it better just i m me on aol zf411vm

the warning buzzer you're having problems with is located at the bottom of the guage cluster in between the speedo and tach. you can do a couple things to fix it. (ie. break it)

either pop (break) the white cover off the base of the buzzer. this eliminates the function of the buzzer with a slight potential for rattles as you cannot get it out without removing the circuit board.

or, you can do it right and remove all the guages from the housing and pull the board. then unsolder the buzzer from the board and pitch it. (as I did) leaving the circuit open where the buzzer once was does not pose any problems. there's about 50 screws in the back of the guage cluster you'll have to take out to do this. I had to go in there for a bad oil pressure gauge anyway so that was when I took out my buzzer.

Test your coolant level sensor and the oil level sensor as per the factory or Haynes manual. Don't disconnect the buzzer...it has saved my ass on two occasions when a coolant hose burst.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong BUT isn't the oil thermo pellet located on the front cover of the engine? :confused: I think you're confusing the OTP with something else.

don't ground the sensor... ground the wire that goes to the sensor....

Just make sure you always keep a close watch on your coolant/oil levels..

Those buzzers are also there for emergencys (rad hose blows, no coolant in engine) and you have no way to tell that anything is wrong unless you are constantly checking your guages.. but then its probably too late.

The thermal pellet is located in the front of the eccentric shaft.

My exhaust is so loud I'd never hear the buzzer if it were going off at a time where it would do me any good....

I don't know about you guys, but being a pilot helps develop a tendancy to scan the gauges. The warning lights are all the indication I need.

If you ran the car low on coolant ever, and you filled it up at the reserve, sometimes it doesn't get into ALL the hoses. There is a little knob on one hose/pipe. Turn it out a little, let some air pressure in, then seal it back up. This can guarnatee that there is now coolant in ALL the components, not just the reserve.
