front pusher fan important?

This is going to sound dumb...

So im putting in a weird custom v-mount style intercooler infront of the radiator, and there is a little pusher fan that used to be mounted infront of the a/c radiator thingy(condensor?). Well the intercooler is to deep for me to put back there...

Question is how serious is it and do i need it? (its my dd for now)
And is there any mounting solutions that you guys can think of?

thanks alot

the pusher fan was just there to aid in A/C system efficiency at stop lights and add a little more cooling flow. if you do not have A/C anymore than the fan is useless, it hardly moved any air anyways and it didn't need to so if you need the space then just pitch it in the garbage. if you plan on using it for the V mount, i suggest against it since as i mentioned it flows little air.

ok thanks alot, but im still kind of worried about my cooling system now that i have a large intercooler blocking a big portion to the radiator... Im running a koyo radiator, with a perma cool fan, and a flexlight (?) fan, and it never got even hot before... Do you still think i will be ok with the intercooler in the way?

that depends on what you plan to do with the car.

1/4 mile runs with a front mount is fine, hitting 160+MPH with one that is not perfectly setup will cook the motor as well as track driving at high RPMs for long periods of time. 1/4 mile i would like to say front mount is ideal since it stays nice and cool up front and the runs are short enough that the engine hardly gets hot. for long high RPM runs i would suggest a good V mount setup with a modified hood to evacuate the air from the top, telling someone how to make a V mount isn't easy since it strictly depends on what type of bumper you have, your ducting, your radiator and intercooler and their positioning.
