Front cover leaking

I over torqued the adapter taht goes into the front cover for the oil cooler lines. It is leaking alot so I know I should replace the front cover..

However I was thinking about putting some loctite or jb weld on the bolt threads to try to seal that bolt so no more oil leaks..

Has anyone done this? any one think this is just a horrible idea??

any advice would be greatly appreciated...

Thanks!

I would only do this as a temporary fix. A used front cover is cheap and you should replace it ASAP to give you some peace of mind.

would go with the loctite or the jb weld?

You've got to be kidding me????

The front cover (i'm feeling nice) is the FRONT COVER on the block. If you look at the front of the engine, that aluminum piece that the pullies stick out of is the front cover.

Good luck with replacing it btw; I've rounded the front bolt trying to get it off. LoL

oh...I misread his problem, I thought he was talking about something that was on or attached to the oil cooler cuz he was talking about those lines...I'm sorry for getting you over excited parastie, I guess I should be lucky you were in a good mood
