Front caliper bracket bolt thread size
 

I was wondering what the thread size were on the front caliper bracket bolts ( 4 lug ). They have a 17mm head.

just encouraging you to learn, if the bolt snapped in the hub carrier. you will need a bearing press, 4 or 5 new studs, media blaster, oxy/acytl. torch, and a vise (assuming theres is still some bolt sticking out) and a vice grips and twist the bastard out, but only heat the hub, its aluminum so be careful it dose not warp, it dosent need to be red hot.

if it happens to be a case where you cant grab the end with the grips. heat the hub, go from the other end and use a impact driver and a hammer, and it will come out like well easily.

tap and die is a last resort, and helicoils arnt the right quick fix for that kinda part, the with a pitch gauge, im sure u can find out what your problem is.

stay away from a galvanized, lowes replacement bolt. it will only rust in place and do the same shit next time.

if you have some extra cash to burn, titanium or aluminum countersets corse thread, and the propper set drill pressed into the hub will make shure this is never an issue again, expecially if you go inverted torks bolts. and powder coat or polish, and might as well heat the tie rod point of the bracket and bend/tweak to add the extra 5-7 deg. of turning radius by rotating the tie rod assem on the carrier.

thats just me. if your strapped for cake. just fix it.

Thanks for the tips. Im going to try and use a broken screw extractor and an oxy/acytl torch. There just isnt enough bolt to grab onto with vise grips. I would like to stay away from the tap and die solution. Ill post back results.

get a nut and washer with a smaller inner diameter than the bolt and weld it then untighten
