Freeze plug on on rear housing?? Forgot to put on??

I forgot to get a freeze plug for the rear housing where the intake mannifold goes. My manifold seems to cover that hole and I already mounted it with the gray sealant. Will there be an issue with this?

Are you using t2 housings on na?

Rear rotor housing........rear side housing ............rear??????????????housing?

if the coolant passage is open and an o-ring is not in place it WILL leak.

i wouldn't trust this option, need something better than RTV to hold that quarter in place, JB weld would be better.

It's the rear rotor housing freeze plug. It's the size of a quarter. I put the f'ing intake on with a nice layer of gray sealant all happy, now it's gonna suck!:pat:

This is the manifold I am using.

doesn't matter...it needs to be sealed properly.

LIM gasket + o-ring or permanently block off the coolant passage with a freeze plug or a quarter.

Could I pick up the freeze plug at advanced or autozone? I know now that Mazdatrix has them, what a fucking pain!!!Maybe the size would help too, if anyone knows it.

Yea, its the size of a quarter. Find a nice quarter and lightly sand paper it. Rise it with acetone. Lightly sandpaper the coolant hole and wipe clean with acetone. Use some JB weld and butter the quarter around the edges where it contacts the housing. Place it carefully in position then butter the edges again. Make sure the JB weld is flush or below the edge of the hole on the housing. For extra assurance put rtv on the LIM around the coolant hole.
