The top bolt that goes to the caliper is snapped...both of my rear calipers are like this, I'm lost what to do. I don't have a drill small enough to fit back in there to drill it out.

Skiles2070 02-06-05 06:31 PM

thats a pretty hard core fuck up...... you may have to drop the steering knukle to get a drill there.. umm.. I can't think of another way.... man that sucks I hope you have goold luck with that.

Skiles2070 02-06-05 06:33 PM

well shit you might have some more room if you "turn the wheels" the right way to fit a drill back there. but as for the back...... jack it up as high as you can.. its still going to be a bitch to get back there but it might be easier than dropping that knukle

DC350 02-06-05 06:35 PM

heat it up... and spray it with "fluid film" Make a center punch in the middle of try to get it out with Picks... Hopefully its not stuck in there, If there is no head it means that it would not be torqued on anymore.... Hope this helps... Or get a pneaumatic drill with the 90 angle on it... Should be small enough to drill and e-z out

i forgot to mention these are my rear rotors

Skiles2070 02-06-05 06:47 PM

well the 90° angle might do it.. I was thinking what to call it, thanx dc350, umm.... use a small drill bit though, to save room. hope that does it

scheistermeister 02-06-05 10:22 PM

if the whole head is broken off it should just come out. there arent any threads on the knuckle. the bolt goes through it and threads into the caliper

scheistermeister 02-07-05 12:18 AM

yeah... that suckers in there good. i heated that sucker and we broke a crow bar and a hammer on it oh and a scew driver.... time for an airchissel or the knuckle is coming off...

gasaraki4786 02-11-05 10:18 PM

hey man the same happened thing happened to me. what I did is cut the caliper completely off until I was able to just pull it right out. but ur gonna have to buy a new or used caliper.

CyborgRyu 02-11-05 10:25 PM
