FMIC question

Does anybody on these forums happen to have done a turbo II swap and installed a FMIC? i was just curious about how others set up there throttle body intake side of the piping... thanks.

Remove a/c and run the tubing there.

No one in history has ever set up an FMIC on a TII. Never, ever. ;)

There are several options for the throttle body adapter, which I call the "strawberry" due to it's shape.

Most FMIC kits come with one, and they are available from the manufacturer of the kit. Not very cheap though.

You can modify the stock strawberry by cutting it's top off and welding on a piece of tubing.

You can make your own from scratch using a flange, conical reducer, and some tubing.

Of course, the last two options require the capability to weld aluminum.

You can also use the NA intake elbow, but personally I don't like that solution.

does anyone have any pictures they could post. I have my piping going from 3" down to 2 1/4 at the throttle body where it bends. To be more efficient and not produce backwind can i just cut intake and weld my 3" strait to it?
