fmic + gpssports front bumper
 

Im sure someone had fitted a fmic with a gpsports front bumper before. but my question is, did it require any front bumper modification? cutting of any kind? if it helps, i would be using a greddy fmic. thanks in advance.

yes you will have to cut. Go look at Furbs car in the non tech section.

It depends on the size, where the endtanks are and how you mount the cooler.

But with 95% of the standard cores it does require trimming.

I have shortened the middle opening and placed the core, testing time after time go get a tight fit. Then start trimming for the piping, mm's at a time to make it fit as tight as possible

Its not that hard, it just takes time...

Or you can hack it up in 5minutes if you dont care about looks :lol:

Where exactly did you gave to cut? I looked at your thread, car looks absaloutly beautiful, but I didn't see anything in regards of modifying ur bumper. And what tool would you refer me to using?I just got a new paint job, is there any chance of ruining te paint?

Also, do you guys think having the factory oil cooler and factory location would be a problem? My car is going to be for mostly street. I don't intend on tracking it until I get more supporting mods.

buy the bumper and the fmic and figure it out yourelf. THis forum dosnt spoon feed you through everything, alot of variables will come into play. Trim it where it needs to be trimed when matched up just like you would do with any part to make it work. A simple dremel will do alot of the cutting and trimming, angle grinder and cutoff wheels makes it quicker though. Not trying to be a dick but its your car which requires doing not speaking to make things work.
