Flooding - yes I've looked

First, I have an 87 TII with bleed off h-pipe AND a fuel cut off switch. I've spent the better part of the day doing the "3 step" maneuver to unflood my baby and what I have now is a flooded rex with a dead battery.
I'm hesitant about the “ATF” fix. What else should I try before I put trans fluid in the motor?

Push it or pull it around. :)

I gotta second that. It worked for me quite well.

:werd:

I had a badly flooded engine a few months ago and the fuel cut switch was just not working (first time ever). Got a pull start from a tow-truck, it started up straight away.

yeah.. thats the best way to start a stubborn engine. When i put my rebuilt motor in my car the compression was so terrible the guage would hardly move... take her to the hill and drop her, only way to get her to crank for a few days.

Use motor oil instead of ATF. That's what I did. I also had a dead battery. I had to use jumper cables to another battery.

have someone pull/push you, works wonders...

So how many times should I pop start it before looking into some other problem?
