flames out of the muffler?????

is there any way to get flames coming out of the exhaust on a 87 n/a like rally cars?

well, you won't shoot flames unless your cat is gone. Rather I should say, 'Cats are gone'. Wanna be cheap? Take a screwdriver to them suckahs and gut 'em. Wanna spend some cash? Buy a straight pipe... 200 or so bucks. I have a hi-flo cat and would rather replace it with a straight pipe than gutting it. If that doesn't do it, then headers and a high flowing cat back should. If still not, then your gonna haveta play with your fuel system, make that sombitch a little more rich.

Hope this helps,
Chris

would headers/presilencer combo work for a n/a?

...should...

If the muffler is straight , the flow of the air and oil is good ,and the oil is thick enough (which is quiet one of the quality of FD) I would say it's possible.

N/As can shoot flames. Just ask Felix.

Mine shoots flames and I have a 2.5" Race Pipe from Rx7.com, dual 2.25" catback with Raptor mufflers (temporary) from Checker Auto.....she shoots nice flames. I love going into 2nd and third gear, she just lets out a loud POP and lights up everything behind me

RotaryWeaponSE7EN 11-07-02 09:05 AM

Hell yeah, my N/A does that too. I have that same Race Pipe and an Apexi NI Catback. When it pops its really loud with that 3in piping and people go aaaahhhhh.

you want flames? here the easiest way to do it. and its cheap. get a couple of sparkplugs (any kind will do) cut holes in the tips of your exhuast just big enough so the spark plugs will screw in. get some wife long enough to run from the plugs to your battery and put a switch in the middle preferably in your car so you can turn in on and off. im not sure if this will work with a rotory considering how effecient they run but it works with most v-8's running rich.

RotorDemonGXL 11-10-02 01:23 AM

NOOOOOOOO! That's the stupidest idea I've heard in my life! Get the straight pipe!

Yeah, My reverse lights don't work as well anymore so when I'm backing up and I can't see all that well behind me, just a little rev'll light the way. ;) Hehehe, not yet. I will soon though, might be my last toy for the FC. :( Want an FD so badly that I can't put my money into it like I once wanted to.

Go Flames! Drury is #1!
oh wait, wrong type of Flame...

I find three things wrong here...

1. Rotary spelled wrong.
2. Efficient spelled wrong.
3. And calling a rotary efficient... They waste a LOT of gas.

Steel 11-10-02 02:44 AM

I wouldn't say they "waste" gas, rather I'd say that their "gasoline usage is directly proportional to cooooolness of rotary, and how much power you WISH you were making." :D
