First step to getting my rx7 running.
 

Hey guys I'm totally new to the rotary world, I've been on the hunt to find a nice clean fc for years. Well i finally found her and bought her. I found a 1991 rx7 convertible, 5 speed non turbo. Old lady owned and operated never seen a Canadian winter it was sitting in her pole barn for a few years. Hasn't ran in 4 years, brakes are seized and what not from sitting for so long. But I'm wondering where to start to get her running I haven't tried to roll it over or anything as it still has a full tank of gas from years back. So I'm curious as to where to start to get her back on the road. The clutch pedal also goes right to the floor and stays there it has no pressure what might be the cause of that

Welcome to rotary ownership. Sounds like the car you bought is going to be a lot of work. Google is your friend, search lots before asking questions. Research and application is a valuable skill if you want to succeed.

Before starting I suggest you:
1. Drain that gas and get fresh stuff in.
2. Put new coolant, or at least flush and fill with water.
3. New oil and filter.
4. Bleed the clutch.

After all that, if the engine is healthy, it should start.

Obviously you'll need to go over the whole car with a fine tooth comb to get all maintenance items current before driving it. Like any car, if you take care of it, you will have minimal issues. If you take shortcuts, you're going to be frustrated.

There is nothing FC- or even rotary- specific about your next moves...you should proceed exactly as you would for any car that's been sitting for a while.
